Latest image sizes for social media 2022

When it comes to social media, changes are the one thing we can all bank on! We don't know when exactly they update things, such as the image sizes, but one thing we know for sure is that it WILL HAPPEN and we just have to deal with it! Pfft!!!

To help you with this, we've compiled all the latest image sizes of the most popular social media platforms - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and YouTube. We're updating regularly, so you're covered for their endless changes!

Why is it important to get the right sizes for your images before uploading them to social media you ask? The reasons are endless, but here are our top three!

  1. It ensures that you and your business look PROFESSIONAL! Your images are showcasing your business, and you don't want them to show up all pixelated and shabby. Look as profesh as possible!
  2. It can help increase your engagement because your images will be optimised for each social platform that you post it to. For example, Instagram's change where they're now allowing posts in PORTRAIT, not just SQUARE ... the square look "OLD" and the portrait look awesome!
  3. It ensures that your potential customers or anyone else on the platform will see the full image and not just half of it. Get VISIBLE!

Now without further ado, it's time to unveil the latest image sizes for your social media posts on different platforms.

Updated Instagram profile photo size 2022

If you want to have the best profile picture on Instagram, make sure that your photo is stored at 320 x 320 pixels, or at least that big. Otherwise, your face will look bigger than usual or smaller - which I assume you don't want to happen.

Also, Instagram profile photos are displayed as circle, so see to it that your face or your company logo is in the centre if you want it to be the focus.

Other sizes:

Instagram Story: 1080 x 1920 pixels
