In this episode of the Business Bite-Size live podcast, I was joined by the super fabulous The Happy Therapist Australia coach, Ashlea Griffin, and we talked about how to create CERTAINTY in an uncertain world.
We are in such an uncertain world right now, whether that be politics, climate, pandemic, economy, jobs, etc, there's one thing we know for sure; we don't know what's going to happen!
So, we can go into a state of doom and gloom and panic and worry OR we can focus on finding solutions within ourselves, and break the negativity cycle.
Here are some ways on how you can create a sense of certainty in an uncertain world:
1. Set goals for yourself or your business
Having specific daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly goals can give you a sense of purpose and direction, which can help you feel more certain about you or your business' future.
2. Create a routine
Having a daily routine can give you a sense of structure and predictability, which can help you feel more certain about your day-to-day activities.
3. Build relationships
By surrounding yourself with supportive and like-minded people, it could give you a sense of security and help you feel more certain about your place in the table.
4. Take care of yourself and your well-being
No matter how busy you are, on a daily basis MAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF! Take care of your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.
5. Accept change and uncertainty
Change is the only constant in this world. In order to keep moving forward, you must accept change and uncertainty. They're part of life, and they help you become a better version of yourself.

Q: Do you think it's important to look at the positives and be solution-focused in order to overcome uncertainty?
"It is so IMPORTANT to find solutions within yourself because we're living in an uncertain world, and even without what's happening in our current environment, there's always uncertainty anyway in life," Ash answered.
One way to put it is to have a positive mindset or way of thinking. According to Help Guide, your mindset is absolutely vital in helping you cope with difficult situations by confidently facing the unknown.
"Try to let go and don't be so much in control of things that you can't change," according to Ash.
Solution-based is progress and it keeps your mind active as to what's next.
"The quality of your life runs in direct proportion to the amount of uncertainty you can comfortably live with." If you cannot live with uncertainty, that uncertainty creates fear, anxiety, and depressions.
